With conservative parties in control at both the state and federal level, now's the perfect time to reconnect ourselves with the grassroots. Come and hear from a leading Greens campaigner and connect with other organisations that share your values.

The event will feature stall from a number of internal and external groups and a shared lunch (pay what you can on the day), and a presentation from one of the best campaigners in our party, Max Chandler-Matter.

Reminder: bring produce to swap!

About Max Chandler-Mather

Max is a community and union organiser. He has worked for the National Tertiary Education Union, helping casual and contract research and admin workers to better organise and improve their rights. He has also been involved in a number of campaigns for social justice, residents’ rights, and campus democracy.

In 2016 and 2017, he was the campaign manager for Jonno Sri’s successful Gabba Ward campaign and Amy MacMahon’s recent South Brisbane election, where the Greens saw historic swings across Brisbane.

At the 2019 Federal Election Max ran for the seat of Griffiths in Brisbane and achieved a swing of 6.67% and an overall vote of 23.65%, turning the seat into one of the most winnable in the country.
