In the ACT the Greens campaigned for - and won - as part of a coalition with Labor. Greens Rebecca Vassarotti MLA will join Greens Lord Mayoral for Sydney candidate Sylvie Ellsmore to discuss lessons learnt about winning - and governing - around a progressive agenda for action on climate change, housing affordability and economic justice.

The ACT Greens achieved a record result in 2020, significantly expanding their numbers in the ACT parliament and the cabinet. The rising Greens tide shifted the entire political spectrum to the left, making climate action, addressing inequality and housing security central to ACT politics.

The Liberals lost seats, leaving the Greens-Labor power sharing government with a commanding majority. Building on their record within government, the Greens ran a grassroots campaign designed to win seats and push (and set) the agenda of the next government.

Minister Rebecca Vassarotti MLA will join Greens Lord Mayoral for Sydney candidate Sylvie Ellsmore to reflect on the ACT Greens campaign and the government that has followed. How can we build a campaign that delivers electoral success, progressive governance and sets the agenda for the next four years in the city.
