Hit the streets and make gas corporations pay what they owe.

On the 22nd of November we will be letter boxing in Willetton to call for a national vote on a minimum 25% tax on gas exports.

We are asking locals to sign our petition at taxourgas.com to demonstrate the overwhelming public support for this policy.

Meet us at 10:00am under the trees at the northern end of Burrendah Park, corner Pinetree Gully Rd and Albatross Pass.

We'll have a quick chat before we grab our maps and flyers and head out. Then meet back at the park for a light picnic lunch.

Multinational gas corporations are ripping us off. Over half of Australia’s gas is exported without paying a cent in royalties, and these companies make billions while ordinary Aussies are told to tighten our belts.

But if we taxed gas exports, we could make over $17 billion a year – money for schools, hospitals, housing, cost of living relief, and the transition to clean, secure energy.

That’s why we are fighting for a minimum 25% export tax on gas revenue.

Woodside and the gas lobby are powerful, but they don't have the support of our community. With 3 in 5 people supporting a gas tax, we are building the momentum to force Labor to finally defy their gas company donors.

We can defeat corporate power with people power if we get organised and hit the streets!

If you're still keen for more action, Tim Clifford MLC is holding a housing event in Cloverdale later in the day. Check here for more details.
