Three Unis, One Voice: Brisbane Joint Stop Work Rally

Our teacher's working conditions are our learning conditions!

Join the QUT, UQ, and Griffith Uni Greens Clubs at the NTEU rally to show that students and university workers are united and determined to win better outcomes.

On Thursday 8 October, staff from QUT, UQ and Griffith University will come together for a joint stop work and rally in Brisbane.

University workers are asking for:

✅ Pay that keeps pace with the cost of living
✅ Respectful and sustainable working conditions
✅ Secure jobs and sustainable workloads
✅ A better student experience
✅ Strong, properly resourced public universities

This event is being organised by the NTEU Branches from QUT, UQ and Griffith University.

As Greens clubs, we're members of our student unions. When we stand together, we have power.

Every student and NTEU member who attends sends a clear message that university workers will not accept declining conditions, insecure work and workloads that continue to grow while resources are stretched.

📍 Queens Gardens, Brisbane City
🕧 Assemble from 12:30pm
📣 Rally starts at 1:00pm
