SA Greens for Peace: Pre-AGM Meeting

The South Australian Greens for Peace Member Action Group, or the Peace MAG, is open to all Greens SA members who are passionate about advocating for peace and non-violence.

Our primary objectives are to:

• Campaign to keep Australia out of war.

• Increase awareness, both within the Greens and in the wider community, of the problem of growing militarisation at a state and national level brought about by AUKUS.

• Increase awareness of the loss of Australian sovereignty, especially in military decision-making and lack of control over the US military on Australian soil, escalated by the Force Posture Agreement and AUKUS.

• Increase awareness of the dangers of the US and Israeli war machine more broadly.

• Increase support for the use of diplomacy and for the peaceful resolution of conflicts.

Join us as we plan for our inaugural AGM. Whether you are interested in standing as an Office Bearer (Convenor, Secretary or Treasurer) or being an active participant in the formation and operation of the group, please come along to help us plan.
