Big gas corporations are ripping us off.

Join us for a practical discussion on what we can do to take back wealth from the richest 1% and start making politicians work for us - the 99%.

Right now, the government collects more money from things like beer excise and student HECS debt repayments than it does from all gas exports combined.
Itβs time for that to change.
A minimum 25% export tax on gas revenue would raise $17 billion a year. This could go a long way to funding urgent cost of living relief, a fair transition to a clean energy economy, and world class public services for all Australians.
But the Prime Minister keeps choosing their big gas donors over you. In 2024 Santos paid $0 in tax, but they gave almost $150,000 in donations to the major parties. Every Australian Resources Minister since 2001 has gone on to work for a fossil fuel company. Gas companies donβt give out donations and cushy jobs for nothing, in return they expect an easy ride.
We need to be louder and more powerful than the gas lobby. We have already forced the gas lobby to spend $11 million trying to silence us. If we keep the pressure on Labor, we can win a tax on gas exports by the end of the year.
THE 1% HAVE BROKEN THE ECONOMY, BUT THE 99% CAN FIX IT.
Help us end the rort that lets offshore gas companies export our resources royalty-free!
