Enjoy SE Qld habitats with a bushwalk with your fellow Greens! Come and spot koalas with family and friends in this easily accessible bush setting so close to the city. Enjoy a spectacular view of the city from the Summit Track. Bring a picnic basket, BBQ fixings or grab a bite or drink from the onsite cafe after the walk for a fun social morning, and don't forget to check out the enormous exploration playground for the young at heart.

Join your fellow Greens for a friendly get together and bush walk through the beautiful Whites Hill Reserve in Brisbane’s southern suburb of Camp Hill for an invigorating 2km walk and chance to spot koalas and other native wildlife.

Trail notes:

Just 7 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, Whites Hill Reserve covers about 170 hectares.

Its open eucalypt forest and dry rainforest are home to many animal species, including the iconic koala and short nosed echidna.

There are 13 interconnected walking tracks at Whites Hill Reserve, ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate. We will be walking the Summit Track which has some fantastic views through the trees to the CBD, and Sankey’s Mountain Summit Track which is wheelchair accessible, with assistance.

Track Rating - Easy to Moderate - tracks may be hilly and have uneven surfaces in sections.

Meet Your Group:
Keep your eyes peeled for your organisers in Green Shirts at the Whites Hill Reserve Play Park (where there is parking available) where you’ll see a sign signalling the start of the Acacia Track. We'll meet at 8am for an 8:15 start.

There are toilets and water taps and picnic tables for public use.

The nearby Whites Hill Cafe opposite the Play Park is open from 7am-2pm on weekends and is a handy place for a post-hike hot or cold drink and a bite to eat with your fellow bush walkers.

Getting there:
By car: From the CBD take either Route 41 to Camp Hill or the M3 to Holland Park West. Turn onto Boundary Street and turn into Whites Hill Reserve at the Holland Park Hawks Football Club entrance. The best parking is at the Play Park near the toilet block.

What to bring:
Hat, waterbottle, sunscreen, insect repellent.
