Melbourne and Richmond Renters Day of Action!

You deserve a home you can afford. But right now if you rent, you're struggling as the cost of everything goes up.

We know what happens when costs start to rise - property investors try to preserve their profits, renters will be the ones to bear the brunt.

That’s why the Greens are calling for an immediate two-year rent freeze to protect renters from the rising cost of living, fuel prices and interest rates.

Together we make unlimited rent rises illegal.

So, on May 9 we’ll be getting out and about talking to renters like about how we get rent controls for a Renters Day of Action!

It’s going to take all of us to finally make renting fair, are you in?

Across the seats of Melbourne and Richmond we will talk to renters, where they are at. This includes rental inspections, their homes and locations they're at often!

We're going to spend the day writing notes to renters we can't reach, such as for people in apartment blocks. Can you help?

No experience needed! All training will be provided on the day, including a briefing on our policy.
