About the film: "Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks" (2025)
Directed by Jill Pauline Hickson
The latest documentary from Dare to Struggle Films takes viewers on a journey through the illegally occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. We meet local Palestinians, who describe the reality of life under Israeli occupation.
For this film they partnered with the Hebron Human Rights Defenders, who gathered footage of daily Palestinian life, Israeli crimes and attacks on young children. They also conducted interviews that reflect on life for Palestinians after October 7 2023.
This film provides an urgent reminder that it’s going to take all of us to put an end to one of history’s most shameful chapters. The film also looks at Australia’s complicity with the Israeli genocide against Palestinian people and goes way beyond the mainstream media portrayal of Israel. It is a film well worth seeing.
Meet Our Panelists
Senator Penny Allman-Payne from Queensland Greens (as MC)
Remah Naji from Justice for Palestine Magan-djin
Malaak Seleem from BDS Youth Magandjin
Jane Tate from Jewish Voices of Hope - Brisbane
For the avoidance of doubt, our panelists will be speaking solely on behalf of their various organisations, and only Senator Allman-Payne will be speaking on behalf of the Queensland Greens.
