A strong branch is built on active, engaged members. Join this online discussion with branch office bearers from across Queensland to share and learn ways to grow your local capacity and community engagement from the ground up.
Our November discussion is a Branch Skill Share on the topic of Community Engagement Tactics with Strategy and Purpose.
This session will provide an opportunity to share and hear about successful approaches to identifying opportunities for, planning and recruiting for, and running events in our local communities. A specific focus will be on strategic objectives of running a regular or one off market stall and how you can use this tactic to help reach branch goals.
Together, we’ll explore how to:
Articulate and share a clear rationale for hosting a market stall
Develop material to support a market stall effectively and with purpose
Activate members to get involved with the planning, rollout and evaluation of a market stall as an effective community engagement tactic
Whether your branch has a well-established history of issues campaigning or is just getting started, this session is a chance to exchange ideas and hear what’s working across Queensland. You’ll gain practical insights from other branches, learn about new approaches being trialed, and contribute to building a more connected and dynamic Party at the grassroots level.
Who should attend:
All Queensland branch office bearers involved in community engagement, or interested in growing and energising their local branch.
Let’s come together to support each other, strengthen our local networks, and grow our movement - one engaged member at a time.
