"Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks: Genocide, Resistance, Complicity"
A chance to see the latest film from 'Dare to Struggle'
Dare to Struggle's latest film takes us on a journey through the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem--a journey that, through Palestinian eyes, profiles life under Israeli occupation. Much of the film follows a Jewish university professor, an ex-politician and a Palestinian Australian student activist who were investigating Israel’s settler-colonial apartheid society. They visited Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem, Silwan and Nabi Samwil to create an account of life under Israeli occupation before Hamas’s jail breakout.
In 2024 Dare to Struggle partnered with the Hebron Human Rights Defenders, who throughout the year gathered footage of Palestinian life and of Israeli aggression against Palestinians. They also conducted interviews. The result is a portrayal of life for Palestinians after October 7th.
The film also looks at Australia’s complicity with Israel, particularly through Australia’s commitment to reinvigorating its manufacturing base by integrating into the US military supply chain. It touches on the mainstream media and how the Zionist lobby has managed to control the information that is presented via mainstream channels. This film goes way beyond how mainstream media portrays Israel.
It is a must-see film. Here is a trailer
This event is fully wheelchair accessible. The best entrance for guests in wheelchairs is at the back of the building.
